Role Overview:

As our Design Lead, you will oversee the full design lifecycle, from trend research and concept development to communication with manufacturers and final production. This role is essential in keeping our collections innovative, cohesive, and aligned with the Nyud brand. You’ll collaborate closely with our manufacturing partners, manage design workflows, and ensure each collection reflects our elevated brand vision. This position is ideal for someone who is highly creative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact with our manufacturing partners, ensuring clear and timely communication
• Conduct ongoing trend research and bring forward fresh concepts for upcoming collections
• Oversee the design process from initial sketches to production-ready files
• Create and manage purchase orders for each collection, ensuring all materials and timelines are aligned
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design decisions support broader business goals
• Maintain organized documentation, tech packs, fabric swatches, and sample tracking

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong design background with proven experience in apparel, swimwear, or related categories
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to translate concepts into production-ready deliverables
• Confident communicator who can manage and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple collections, revisions, and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient in design programs such as Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent)
• Strong trend awareness and a passion for creating elevated, timeless pieces
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative, in-office environment
